Clesana Super-absorber
Turning liquid into gel!
The Clesana sealing toilet stands for worry-free use. Waste is sealed in leak-proof and odour-proof high-barrier bags. For even greater safety, we recommend adding the Clesana super absorber when using the toilet. This creates a stably bound bag content that cannot easily leak even if the bag is damaged.
How the super absorber works.
The Clesana super absorber binds existing liquid within a few minutes and transforms it into a gel-like mass. This creates a stably bound bag content that cannot easily leak even if the bag is damaged. One portioned sachet binds up to 400 ml of liquid. With a measuring spoon (10 g of granulate) from the 1 kg container, even up to 500 ml can be absorbed.
The principle is familiar – from nappies, feminine hygiene or cat-litter additives, for example. The super absorber is harmless to humans; nevertheless, it should not enter the environment, as it does not occur there naturally.

Odours arise mainly from bacterial processes in a moist environment. If the liquid is bound immediately, the basis for intense odour formation is reduced – entirely without additional fragrances or chemicals.

When is the super absorber used?
The super absorber can be added either before or directly after using the toilet – it is important that this happens before pressing the flush button. The granulate also makes it possible to collect several toilet uses in one bag before it is sealed. The super absorber can absorb larger amounts of liquid while also reducing odours. Unpleasant odours arise where free liquid is present. As this is bound immediately by the granulate, there is no basis for intense odour formation. Odours are therefore not just masked, but directly prevented.
The main advantage of the super absorber, however, is the additional leak protection. This is also shown by the Clesana puncture test (see video below). This scenario simulates a well-filled bin with possible sharp objects. A sealed bag was perforated with a knife and a screwdriver. An attempt was then made to squeeze out the contents – the absorber gel. Only a minimal amount of gel escaped from the holes, and the high-barrier film remained stable throughout. Even under pressure, it did not tear any further.
The test clearly shows: any concern about the contents possibly leaking is unfounded, particularly when using the super absorber.
