Using the Clesana system is so easy that you won’t notice any difference compared to the sanitary comfort of your home, except that you don’t need any water to feel hygienically safe, without compromise.

As soon as the foil liner has been inserted, the Clesana toilet is ready to use. Flushing is similar to your home toilet: simply close the lid and choose between the “Flushing BIG” and “Flushing SMALL” buttons. Optionally, to bind fluids, the Clesana absorber can be added to the toilet “bowl”. Then, again, close the lid and select „Flushing SMALL“.

After pressing the flush button, the system takes over. Excretions and toilet waste are automatically sealed in foil bags and collected in a special compartment beneath the toilet seat, without any odors, germ-free and with no need for water. The system now automatically lines the toilet „bowl“ with fresh foil for subsequent use.

The fill-level indicator integrated into the display indicates when the bag compartment needs emptying. To empty, simply pull out the compartment and discard sanitary bags as household waste, care-free and without ever having to fear contact with the contents.
By the way: with Clesana even the disposal of toilet waste is now trouble-free. From toilet paper and feminine hygiene products to diapers, the foil-bag system securely seals everything at the push of a button.

Clesana C1 – Installation and retrofitting.
Installation.
Floor-mounting of the Clesana toilet via socket (round socket or L-adapter). For easy integration into bathroom fittings the control panel is exchangeable. With its integrated rotation disc the Clesana C1 can be turned up to 180°.
Operates with 12V power supply.
Retrofitting in caravaning.
Retroffiting of the most common types of chemical toilets to a C1 via L-adapter (service opening in toilet room is sealed by rubber lid on the back piece of the L-adapter). Important: water hose for flushing has to be plugged. Installation is usually possible without any problems via one of our dealers. Put liner onto foil cassette and adjust. Flip cassette, pull foil tube up and over the rim inwards, leaving it overlapping downwards.

Reinsert foil cassette into toilet.

Place lid back on and initiate reset. The foil tube is now automatically welded to a bag and the counter is reset.
The toilet is now ready to use. A fresh barrier liner allows for 36 uses.
The digital counter reliably indicates when it is is time to change the liner.

Clesana C1 Consumables.
All excretions and toilet waste are hygienically sealed in multlayer barrier foil. A fresh barrier liner allows for 40 uses. The PTFE-band used for welding the sanitary bags has a lifetime of approximately 2000 cycles. Optional: the “Clesana Super-Absorber” can be applied for liquid absorption. By the way: High-barrier liners with biomass-based and recycled plastic will also be available from 2025.
