Milestone: Clesana in Dethleff’s first 4×4 motorhome

World premiere at the Caravan Salon 2024: the large-scale manufacturer Dethleffs presents its first motorhome with all-wheel drive – the Globebus Performance 4×4. A particular highlight of this model is the innovative Clesana C1 welded toilet, which is designed to ensure maximum comfort even off the beaten track.

The leisure vehicle manufacturer Dethleffs presents its first 4×4 motorhome, the Globebus Performance 4×4. The semi-integrated Globebus is designed to impress with powerful drive technology, high off-road capability and a striking, dynamic look. This all-wheel drive motorhome is the ideal companion for camping enthusiasts who also want to travel off-road or on snowy climbs, or who attach particular importance to being self-sufficient.

A particular highlight of this model is the innovative Clesana C1 welded toilet, which significantly increases self-sufficiency in this class. Dispensing with the classic cassette toilet allows owners to dispose of waste flexibly, making the Globebus Performance 4×4 independent of waste disposal stations and therefore ideal for adventurous off-road tours and longer stays in the great outdoors.

Dethleffs is thus opening a new chapter in its company history. For the first time, the leisure vehicle manufacturer from Isny in the Allgäu region is expanding its model range to include a motorhome with all-wheel drive. The première will take place in Düsseldorf. The series version of the first Dethleffs all-wheel drive motorhome can already be ordered from this date.

It is also a first for Clesana. For the first time, a large series manufacturer is integrating the Clesana C1 and setting new standards among the leading motorhome brands.

Even back then, when Dethleffs, together with other members of the innovation team of the Erwin Hymer Group (EHG), discovered the welded technology in the medical field, it was clear that this technology also had great potential in caravanning. Dethleffs and other visionaries from EHG made a decisive contribution to our further development of the welded toilet for use in caravanning.“

Field tests were carried out early on with Dethleffs vehicles and their customer base. Dethleffs is now the first company in the Erwin Hymer Group to install a Clesana C1 in a vehicle ex works.

We are only at the beginning of the possibilities that the Clesana C1 offers manufacturers like Dethleffs – especially when it comes to the design of floor plans. Together we will work proactively to make full use of this advantage.“, Beller continued.

With Dethleffs, the first major German manufacturer has taken a decisive step towards mobile sanitary hygiene without compromise, thus opening up new paths, both in vehicle design and in the future caravanning infrastructure.
